The Reserve, situated in the lower hills of Forlì, protects a stretch of woodland of great naturalistic and landscape value, a relict of the forest formations covering in the past the whole area of Romagna at the foot of the hills. Here, rare animal and vegetable species find shelter. The protected area includes two ancient monasteries, whose historical events are deeply linked to the history of the woodland. Besides their history, the local flora, fauna, and geology, the guidebook describes two itineraries you can follow in the Reserve.
