Brisighella Extra-virgin Olive Oil PDO

Brisighella extra-virgin olive oil PDO is an excellent quality product, famous all over Italy, exclusively produced by the social olive press of Brisighella. Olive tree growing in Brisighella is a centuries-old tradition that has become strong and also contributes to characterize the landscape of Lamone Valley, in particular, and Vena del Gesso Romagnola.

Brisighella extra-virgin olive oil PDO has an emerald-green color with golden reflections, spicy and pleasantly bitterish taste. It is obtained with cold pressing of olives belonging to the unique olive variety "Nostrana di Brisighella", for no less than the 90%. The maximum production per hectare is 5,000 kilos of olives, with a maximum output in oil of the 18%. The olives are rigorously harvested by hand in the period between 5th November and 20th December of every year, washed, and pressed within four days after the harvesting.
